The interaction between Transport Malta and the Planning Authority during the planning application process could, at times, turn complex. What is certain is that it is the Planning Authority that ultimately approves or denies a development application. However, Transport Malta’s involvement can be key to the final outcome. In this brief publication titled “Il-Ligi tal-Ippjanar u Transport Malta,” I discuss Transport Malta’s role in two specific areas: verification of alignments and access to distributor roads. I intend to discuss other areas, such as Transport Malta’s involvement in billboard applications and planning control applications, in a separate publication.
